I started thinking about this in the early years of the internet. I have always been interested in communication and the role of one to one communication in spiritual teachings. The transmission of blessings and deep experience with a teacher happen in person. Could they also happen online?
It wasn't until around 2010 that I heard about some Tibetan teachers who were offering empowerments online. These were invite only events, generally for people who already had the in person empowerments.
Even today, you do not see it very much and the reason I believe is the primacy of in person experience. People do not believe they can experience the real transmission of blessings and deep transformations that happen with gurus in person.
However, is it true? I have conducted and experienced deeper communication through the internet than one would expect. Those online empowerments were one example.
Another comes from the bowls and the power of sound. For over 20 years, I have recorded the singing bowls for the internet. Many people have contacted me over the years about meaningful experiences they have had with only the recordings.
More recently I have been training people in hands on therapeutic work online, mainly parents with special needs children. The amazing thing is that the essence of my training is transmitted more than the techniques themselves.
I have furthermore done intuitive work for years with people online and the distance does not seem to matter. I have conducted sound healing sessions, intuitive coaching, what I call personal feng shui and the work is always effective. In fact, the internet is a huge aid and as more people teach online, it will become apparent.
More than words and images can be communicated if one intends to do so. The internet actually offers a conduit, much like the singing bowls themselves. The real healing power is through connection with a spiritual vibration. This can happen anywhere. The timing is more important than the place or the medium. Timing is everything.
Subtle communication is possible through the internet. In a quantum world, a divine world, the separation of space does not matter. You can have amazing experiences, even if you are not in the room with the guru. In person, online or on your own in silence; you can always access the spiritual dimension.

I will also be offering the teachings I have received from Tibetan masters, those that I am qualified to share, including Mipham's Treasury Of Blessings, the empowerment for Shakyamuni Buddha, which I practiced at many original holy Buddhist places in Nepal and India. This teaching carries the real Buddha's blessing as I received it from H.E. Kyabjé Tsikey Chökling Rinpoche and his son, Phakchok Rinpoche.
What are the limits of the internet? From my experience, we can transmit much more than TV shows and cat photos. There is a real power to communication through any medium. The internet seems more powerful than most.
