The Cup Singing Bowls

Known as small thado bhati in Nepal, the affectionately named cup singing bowls include a wide range of palm sized singing bowls.

Usually tall sided with more square bottoms than the manipuri bowls, cups are scaled down versions of the other common types.

The craftsmanship is amazing and considered a lost art. Today, they are not able to make singing bowls with many of the features found in the cups.

Not only is the small size difficult to reproduce, they feature the early complex folding, thick wall, shaped rim and fine engravings.

A huge class of bowls including many types, the cups are combined here by size rather than type. This collection include all of the common bowl types, in miniature size.
