Late Period Singing Bowls

The Evolution
Late Period singing bowls
I divide singing bowls into early and late periods, defined by a change in manufacturing style around the 16th century. Earlier singing bowls were made by folding the metal inward and outward, forming a wide symmetrical lip. Many of the bowls in the Museum Collection are these early types.
Later period singing bowls were made from the 16th century and continue to be made today. Rather than a complex folded rim, they are hammered flat with no rim or a modified inward fold.
The Singing Bowl Museum has fewer examples of the later period antiques but the vast majority of singing bowls were made in the later style. It allowed for much faster manufacturing and less material to be used.
This collection features medium sized later period antiques from the 16th - 19th century. Click each bowl for more detailed descriptions.

This collection features later period antiques from the 16th - 19th century. I hand selected each top quality example for its genuine age, excellent condition, beautiful sound and great feeling vibration. Listen with headphones to hear the real sounds.
Combining sound with wellness is amazing! My breathing, voice, movement and meditation training provides real breakthroughs and feels great. We use the bowls as a subtle part of the process.
From singing bowls to Tibetan Buddhism to travel, I have a lot to share. The blog will inform you about singing bowls and entertain you with my stories. New content added weekly.
